Hair Colouring at Home

Just gotten my hair coloured a week ago and I don't really like it, oh well, maybe a bit.

I wanted to have a bright brown / goldish colour but.... ended with nut brown... Arghhhhhhhhhh!

Anyhoo, I am using Liese Hair Colouring Shampoo which cost about RM35 (depending on where you shop) and my mom is my hairdresser.  Yikes!

Fashion of the Day

This idea came from a colleague of mine whereby she'll snap pictures of herself - full length - and post it on facebook.

Well, I'm gonna have my own version as well as it seemed fun to have a collection of how I'd dressed.

It's July 1st!

Hair Care & Products

Hair had always been one of the most important part for me. Scientifically it is defined as filamentous biomaterial that grows from follicles found in the dermis. Please do not ask what does it mean as I have no idea as well. LOL! But anyhoo, since my hair is my important asset, I am doing whatever it takes to ensure it looks nice. Well, looking nice alone is not enough, it has to be touchable too!

My Hair Profile - I am blessed with a solid black, medium-thick, straight hair which I believe it came from my mother's. Since young, I kept my hair long - and the longest record I had was up to my thigh. Back then, my hair was all shinny and healthy looking BUT the burden was my tiny head got to weigh up those hair and shampooing/drying takes forever. Yikes! Regardless, I love my hair just as much.

Change - I had always forbidden processes that could damage hair i.e. perming, straightening, colouring, or simply by ironing. However, after years of wearing it au naturel, I decided to colour it - maroon brown or marshmallow brown and coloured I did. So there it goes, au naturel gone, fresh new look arise. Nonetheless maintaining healthy hair is always difficult.

Maintaining - In the beginning, I took for granted on all the advices given by professionals. Then split ends and frizziness came walking in. I was shocked and got really upset. So I figured something needs to be done. I bought treatment oil and styling cream. What I did was applying the treatment oil after hair wash with an amount close to 20cents coin size. Once the application done, I begin blow drying at the heat of low. If I am needed to use the iron, that is when styling cream comes in handy. Apply styling cream before ironing helps keeping the hair soft and shinny.

Products -  Below shown are the products used by me and please note that there is no whatsoever intentions in promoting the brands.

Conclusion - I just love how all these products made my hair stay healthy and nice at all times. Plus these products are easily obtainable in stores i.e. AEON Hair Care Dept, Watsons, etc.

Dryness to Cure

Iciness - The weather here is hitting the toughest once again. It has been exceedingly colder than usual. The floor, the walls, the pillars, the counters, the doors, everything are icy! Even my nicely done hair turns cold with moist. Every steps taken had been cautiously walked by as I am afraid of slipping and hurt myself. Furthermore I am prone to accidents! Well, I was pushed slightly by the aggressive wind today while walking to work in the morning. It is unbelievable, but true. When will the weather stop being a bitch?

Dryness - What more could be worst than having damp hair at work after nicely done in the room or having the invisible push that causes the leg to go unstable? The answer is CHAPPED LIPS and DRY OUT SKIN!!! Since a month ago, I had been fighting against dryness. The weather here had roughened my skin which leads to itchiness plus terrible cracked lips. Of course there are plenty of cosmetics and facial products used to overcome these issues.

Facial - One of my bestie recommended Laleli Olive Oil which she bought from Penang. It is good, as the matter of fact. It soften and moistened the skin instantly but there is sure need to reapply again and again. Another recommendation goes to Laneige Water Sleeping Pack and YES! it is good! Recommending to those who need a refreshing look in the morning~

Lips - Facial skincare, checked but what about lip care? When the lips surface are dry, it can caused a stinging sensation on both lips. And sometimes being left unhealed will induce tiny bleeding. Hence, it is wonderful to have lip balm, lip gloss, or anything that moistened the surface. I have my miracle Kose Vague Lip Balm & Kose Esprique Aqua Drape Rouge in my bag!
